What you need to know about NFT’S

NFTs stand for Non-Fungible Tokens which is a unique digital asset that represents ownership of real-world items like art, video clips, music, and more. Most creators use them as digital assets that link to the ownership of their unique creations.

They are bought and sold online, they represent digital proof of ownership of any given item. An important note about these NFTs is that they are securely recorded on a blockchain. The technology behind these tokens is the same as cryptocurrency, which means that the asset is top-tier or one-of-kind making it difficult for fraudsters to alter or counterfeit.

Many countries are leaning towards legalizing NFTs to boost their participation in the crypto center. Since South Africa is leaning more towards becoming a 4IR country this might be something that they can look into it so that NFTs can contribute to tax.

The best of both Worlds

This is arguably the best rivalry in the data world Data Mesh vs Data Fabrics.

According to publicist Yuval Perlov, where data fabric combines multiple technologies to design a centralized, metadata-driven, augmented (AI-driven) data platform, data mesh is a decentralized architecture and operating model that guides the design within a framework that is independent of technology.

There are some people who often ask questions like how do they differ and how they are the same. Well, they are different because Data Fabric relies on the proficiency and abilities of centralized Data management tools while Data Mesh on the other hand relies on the architectural design towards distributed data services.

They are the same in the sense that they both represent the accumulation of about over 50 years of data management through technological experiences. They both adapt to and make use of each other. The cost of both frameworks is similar and relative to design.

Willies Thoughts

Looking at containers, cloud and Edge computing, imagine building data models or processes collaboratively with other companies including your opposition without sharing content.

Basically everyone who registers will benefit, your data is never shared with anyone except for a data / process model encrypted by your software. Your encrypted model is submitted to a cloud platform where it decrypts your model, compare it to all other models received and applies ML for suggestions / improvements. Encrypt your new model sent back to your system for decryption and review. Consider that might take a long time, depending on submissions and workload by the receiving system, but that can be sent off to Quantum Computing to do.

Same could apply for AI cars, your phone etc. where a container of work is sent for processing to a cloud, then QC and back or possibly less likely enable VDI type localization based on few basic parameters from phone, launching an inface with all available data presented to your phone interface filtered categorically based on your available preferences and option the toggle various filters by common groupings etc.

Augmented reality driven by your interests, preferences and choice of interface. You’ve seen Black Mirror right?

EDGE COMPUTING

When last did you use edge computing?, or thought about how what you do can be improved by IOT/Edge computing?

IBM has IBM Edge Application Manager.
