“Recently, during a visit to South Africa, the Jitterbit team expressed an interest in supporting a community upliftment initiative. Through Jitterbit’s partnership and association with Ovations, we learned about Gratiari, an NPO that engages with vulnerable, displaced and homeless people to restore their dignity and renew their hope
Gratiari is dedicated to improving the livelihood of the people of the Ugu District Municipality located in the KwaZulu-Natal province. The community support Gratiari provides is a very topical issue in South Africa right now. Thanks to a multinational API integration transformation company,j Jitterbit, we are happy to announce local support for a very topical issue in South Africa now – Gender Based Violence (GBV). Based on southern coastline of KZN, South Africa, Gratiari serve extremely impoverished areas. The UGU District Municipality has a severely failing infrastructure and there is little to no assistance available in the district. In the best of areas people are often left for weeks without any water and sanitation, neither to their homes nor via mobile tanker services. This community needs help throughout the community development spectrum and the analysis of what is a reality for them is shocking and saddening. Gratiari approach project is a project to improve the livelihood of the people in the community and believe that through social development, community upliftment and education (of ALL ages), every person has the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential and create more opportunities for themselves and people around them.
